I’ve been using the B788 for a year and every time I’m at cruising alt the nose is like pitched up. Is their a way to keep it straight or more down if possible?
What is your speed/flaps/trim/altitude?
Also, welcome to the community!
The 787 generally cruises with the nose pointing up.
There shouldn’t be any issue with flying a cruise level even if you notice a “pitch up.”
If you really want to keep it pointed down you can try putting more weight in the front of the aircraft but it really isn’t that big a deal
Ok great thank you!
I’m trying to help you, do you mind answering my questions?
@Thunderbolt I don’t think there’s much of an issue if it’s just the nose pointing up a bit.
My altitude is 40,000ftMSL and speed as of right now 233kts Airspeed pitch is 15% and flaps are 1
What is your mach speed and weight?
Setting your flaps to 0 will help, since flaps aren’t supposed to be deployed during cruise, since they actually increase aircraft lift.
Mach speed is M 0.83 and weight is 25% fuel which is 54,000lbs as of right now.
Okay, I’d suggest retracting the flaps and increasing your speed to Mach 0.85.
If the problem persists, let me know.
No need to worry, its normal for the 787 to cruise with a positive pitch
Ok so I did that and it is the same.
Can you send me a screenshot?
That happened to me I just put flaps 15 and moved away from the wing
Set the flaps to 0 degrees, since the flaps increase lift.
Just did !
I just got it ! Thank you for your help guys!
Awesome! Glad I could help!
Have a great flight!
