You did fine, just a few things to report

• You cleared an aircraft for takeoff right when I was on a short base, and forced me to do a go-around
• An aircaft requested transition, and you said transition approved at or above Fl180, which is obviously way to high.

Much has been written about this, but still I get a lot of questions from trainee ATCs. This topic is about: what transition altitude does the ATC assign to an aircraft. Mark has written a tutorial for pilots, on when, and when not to request a Transition.
