Does this feature account for real-time winds, speed changes, and step climbs, or does it simply burn fuel at a fixed rate while holding the flight level and speed based on the aircraft’s state when AP+ was engaged?
It does neither at this time. It keeps the same altitude and ground speed as when you exited. The aim eventually is to have it take winds into account, I’m not sure about stepclimbing.
ok thx. btw i updated my post…i meant to also ask if it holds speed based on zero wind component or keeps speed you were at when first enabling AP+
It keeps the ground speed you were at when you engaged it.

Stepclimb would be a huge win. It was the main USP of IF assistant for me. With AP+ it’s simply not usable anymore.
