Autopilot causing me to get a violation and crash

Device: Apple iPhone 14
Operating system: IOS 18.5
I was doing a group flight with my VA, and I leave my phone on autopilot since I have to go to the store, yet when I return, I have a violation after crashing. Why did the autopilot make me crash and cause me to have a violation?

Hey!

Did you have VNAV on and potentially descended into terrain? Did you perhaps run out of fuel?

Negative. I had VNAV off, and had plenty of fuel left.

Are you able to share the replay file using this website:

All instructions are on the site.

Here you go sir.

I love that IF support replies instantly unlike RFS support which takes days since they are just a team of underpaid workers in Southeast Asia.

After having a look at it - I’m gonna say 40,000ft was probably a bit too high for whatever weight you were at - your cruise pitch angle was on the high side and your N1 was frequently over 100% - then during turns the aircraft couldn’t keep speed, and you eventually lost too much speed to recover and stalled.

Edit: for whatever reason there were also 2 moments where your engines went to idle for a few seconds - which wouldn’t have helped.

Also wind isn’t displayed on replays iirc (can’t view it) so a drop in headwind component or increase in tailwind component can mess your AoA up enough to put you behind the drag curve.

Fortunately the states menu is now fixed so we can now view autopilot and other parameters again
