Autopilot causes itself to crash every now and then shortly after take off

Every now and then after take off, the autopilot puts the plane into an extreme bank angle, which disengages the autopilot and causes me to crash. I am looking to see if this is a glitch or if I am doing something wrong.

You are probably going too slow/climb too fast.
Take-off requires an estimate of what your take-off power will be, depending on weight, fuel winds, temperatures etc.

You probably bank angled and crashed because the plane stalled because of the reasons above.
Try to get to know how your thrust must be set beforehand, this depends strongly on what plane you fly.
Autopilot can’t correct this sometimes as take-off is a very complicated phase in the flight.

Extreme bank angle

First off welcome to the community!!
With the bank angle, is it like, a wobble, and goes out of control? Its a known issue with the A320

Soo, what plane you in, what altitude, what speed?

I’ve never had this happened tbh. Even when I’ve flown realistically.

Yeah, not really with me anymore, but when i began, i would fly at like Mach 0.85 at FL300, and in the middle of the flight the plane just wobbles and crashed

(and no, it wasnt turbulence💀)

Crazy 😅
It is to be said though if people fly planes within the normal speed/operations there shouldn’t be any problem. I’ve flown the A320 especially countless times in all sorts of circumstances.

Edit: I dare to say that the A320 after the A220 is the most reliable plane in IF to fly. For me at least.

That’s a matter of knowing your plane well.
The A330, especially when heavy loaded is known/notorious for not being a good climber.
For that aircraft specifically, I would say fly at a less higher vertical speed so that your airplane can gain speed. Use flaps 2 (or even 3) instead of 1+F.

Try to handfly the aircraft till you are at 1000ft. And if you feel like it stabilised a bit (it doesn’t wobble) you can put on your Autopilot.

Here is a nice topic explaining more details on how this airplane works. Unofficial A330 Takeoff & Landing Profiles

500ft? So like and ILS landing?

ILS isn’t used by take-off as far as I know.

Lol i know i was just saying ils for landing

We got ILS takeoffs now bruv

Really👀? I didn’t knew that!
How would that work?

im just joking lol

@NewPlanes321 Welcome to the community!

What you described most likely is:

If you could show a screenshot of the HUD view just as you were going into the extreme bank angle, it would help confirm that.

Just make sure you are not climbing so fast that your forward speed starts dropping off uncontrollably (for the amount of power you’ve set).

The autopilot in IF is not capable of lowering the nose to keep your speed within safe limits. You need to manually lower the vertical speed or lower the nose up pitch to keep the speed up.

You say that but some go around procedures do actually involve an ILS…
