The current autopilot and calibration system is way too agressive, only realised after playing in mobile for the past couple of days. I used to play in bluestacks for a long time which was lot more easier to deal with and disconnecting autopilot won’t plummet you out of the sky but in mobile it does. I hope we can get some updates to the autopilot and smoother physics for time now can I get some tips to deal with this?
There are settings within Infinite Flight to adjust the sensitivity and performance of various controls.
As far as accuracy goes, autopilot within IF is remarkably close (if not the same) to real life operations.
It would be nice to have a “warning” before turning off autopilot as sometimes the button can be pressed by accident mid-flight. Perhaps you can create a feature request for this since as of now we must remember to calibrate before touching autopilot.
(And we all have to careful as one wrong tap can cause us to go spiraling out of the sky lol)
Nothing works for touch controls even with haptics it’s easy to glide over
What makes you think that?
Do you mean disabling individual parameters or disable AP as a whole?
Already there but not enough votes
Then I don’t see the point of this topic. If there’s already a features request, then continue the discussion there and/or vote, but otherwise a topic just to complain and grip about certain aspects of the game that everyone else uses, but you didn’t because you played the game in a way that it wasn’t supposed to be played, doesn’t add anything useful to the community. If you were looking for help with the autopilot, then that’s a different story, although I believe there are a few topics out there with threads about useful techniques with the AP system in IF.
Here’s a good thread with tips:
I am wanting to hear y’all opinions on how to play in mobile which is something i’ve been finding really cumbersome and not really enjoying the experience of touch controls.
That’s on me but this was not a feature post or anything, wanting to hear from y’all how to play in phone?
I’ve talked about autopilot earlier which was not my discussion here hope it helps.
Use trim instead of calibrating. A well trimmed aircraft won’t change its pitch when A/P is turned off.
I searched and searched but couldn’t find the feature request lol. I knew it had to be somewhere haha. Thanks @Petre2026!
Well the more votes, the merrier. I just voted
It was trimmed normally and on cruise level disabled alt and vs and aircraft went bumpy
He literally said a “trimmed aircraft” no wonder why…
For a/p on cruise not landing the last calibrated position pulls you down or up no trim can save you that.
Than calibrate, it’s not that hard
It happens before calibration dude
You can calibrate before disabling AP. That’s what I do
Accidental touch
I don’t really see why a topic needs to be made about accidentally disabling AP, also it’d take two taps if the AP window is closed. That could just be me though
It’s easier to plummet out of the sky and roll down or up just bcz the vs or alt has been disabled think how much it affects people who try to not make mistakes. Also getting control of the aircraft is also very tricky like in jumbo jets.
I understand that but from my perspective it seems that what you have asked has been answered; vote for the auto calibration, or just calibrate before you disable ALT/VS/AP. If it’s accidental then there’s not really a need to make a topic about it, it’s happened to me many times.
I know but I feel uncomfortable when making mistakes and always try to not make errors. I never once had that issue when playing on bluestacks so it does affect me quite a bit and hence I would like to do something about it. Auto calibration seems like a solution and probably i’ll wait till then.
Infinite Flight AP is nowhere close to IRL AP. At least for commercial airliners, try Aerofly FS Global and see.
