Automatic: SimBrief OFP to Infinite Flight FPL, Loading, Top of Climb/Descend, Cruise, Liveries, and Fuel Analysis [FPLM!NER]

@jdag2004 So, I fixed the code for some bugs that was producing alternated North and South Longitudes along your route. It should be working fine now. If you happen to check let me know if there were any more problems.

i actually checked it myself right now and it looks all fine I believe:

How exactly do I copy the OFP on a mobile device? It’s a real pain to keep scrolling and copying. Anyone here who knows an easier alternative for an iPad running iOS 11 ?

It works for me now thanks to your hard work. One question asked by Namit applies to me and that is how do I copy this text string from my laptop to my tablet and set up the plan in IF? I know how to ctrl C and ctrl V but this doesn’t work for me so is there an easier way? .

I sometimes produce my flight plans on a PC ( at work shhh when I get 5 mins with a cup of tea) put it into the correct format and then email to my account by which is on my iPad. Then I can just copy the wPTs and paste into the search button on the Nav page once spawned.

@David_Lockwood @Geoffrey_Gill @Namit Hello everybody, just to get on the same line as you guys, are you having difficulty running the spreadsheet on your phone? I agree that copying the SimBrief is “almost” impossible to be done from the phone (PDF copying of multiple pages is very poor on my Iphone), but copying the Result of the spreedsheet should work fine as it does on my phone. You just tap on the result cell and copy, you don’t even need to select the bits of the string, once tapped and copied, the whole content would be saved to your clipboard instead of the formula you might see. Let me know if this answers the questions.

Something has happened…

hey @jdag2004,

I see the format of the copied text has gone messed-up before getting pasted into the code. I assume you did it either on the phone/tablet or from a pdf version. They tend not to allow a reliable copy/paste of the text from multiple pages. Try copying your FPL from the SimBrief itself. That should work all the time. Let me know if it still didn’t work…

I know before I said to someone in here to make a PDF and copy the content from there, but PDF happens not to be a consistently viable solution. Just use the web-based version of your OFP/FPL for copy/pasting.

I’m afraid I have a problem with copying the whole OFP from Simbrief. I would have no trouble copying the result from the spreadsheet I’m sure.

@SkyHigh, my man, a video tutorial on YouTube will lessen the load on yourself

Sure, I will do, tomorrow hopefully, when the code is really finished.

This is fantastic.

Looking forward to the finished code :)

Works like a charm now. Thanks for explaining the whole process ;)

Here is the latest revision of the code (V12). Now, you can get a flight plan with the real name of your waypoints wherever the distance between your IF waypoint and OFP Waypoint are within acceptable ranges (using 1 NM as acceptable tolerance for now).

Also please be a bit patient when running the code, as it is now accessing and searching through a 200,000+ data base to “remotely interact” with IF Waypoint Directory, so it might take more time than before. Link to the document, below:

Here is also a list of some of the routes of most flied daily, yearly, or the ones with highest passenger count and so on. You can use these for planning your short, mid-range, or long hauls.

Hello, it shows that it is a view only document, so I cannot copy and paste.

Uh, many thanks for mentioning that. I just fixed it. See the shared link updated up there, and also here again for you:

Tried putting it in, and it says that it was done incorrectly…

Did you just copy this string?

Or did you run the SimBrief first and then copied the OFP in the code? If you generated the SimBrief OFP and it gave you the error, I can check, but tell me first what you did, so I get on the same line as you.

I put in that string, I added a bit in the first to make it a better fpl.
