As mentioned, during doing Controller work connection automatically breaks like in starting everything works fine but after some time they were unable to listen my instructions even if i am sending them. While i can able to listen to there instructions but at the same time if i am sending , they are not able to listen to it
If you have a VPN installed, make sure it is off while you’re using IF. I’ve had the same thing happen when I forgot to turn my VPN during controller sessions on TS
No, no one is taking my place i am able to listen them and at the same they are able to communicate to me but the only thing is they are not getting my instructions
But yeah there are some instance in which I am able to see and listen another controller instructions, and the pilots are also following it. But they are not able to hear mine.
This usually happens due to a connection desynchronization between the controller client and the IF servers.
At the beginning, everything works normally, but after some time the controller can still receive aircraft instructions, while outgoing instructions stop being received by pilots.
Common causes include:
• Unstable internet connection (packet loss / brief drops)
• iOS background or network restrictions
• VPN / Private DNS enabled
• App running too long without refreshing the connection
• Rarely, a server-side sync issue
Try these:
• Restart IF and reconnect as controller
• Disable VPN and set Private DNS to Auto
• Ensure Infinite Flight has full background activity and network permissions
• Avoid switching apps while controlling
• Try a different network (Wi-Fi > mobile data)
• If possible, test on another device or iOS version
If the issue keeps happening consistently, it’s likely not user error but a backend or client sync bug.
