Auto-Pushback "Tapping" from Map View

Recently, IF added a very helpful feature being auto-pushback, which, from how I’ve used it so far, is a great feature and very helpful in ensuring a accurate pushback and for allowing a tow.

With this being said, I feel the current way of planning out the pushback is a bit cumbersome and could be made a bit easier by allowing people to plan the pushback from the map view. It’s sometimes a bit difficult to tap on some taxiways accurately from the “Normal” camera view, especially at larger airports where multiple takeaway lines can be right next to each other. I imagine this system would be exactly the same as how ATC can currently assign pushback from their end.

Overall, the current system works well, but I think it could be improved by either replacing the current planning method in doing so from the map or allowing people to do so from either method.

I doubt that this will be a “major” post that many people vote for, but rather something that I hope the developers notice and add to the next update.

(Unaware if this is an already requested feature or if the feature is coming at a later date–if so, please feel free to close this.)

I’m totally for this! In general too the autopushback could use some clean up, and I hope they will allow the general public to use the pull feature, for instance if you are in a hanger or such. But this is definitely a good improvement to suggest

Definitely was hoping for the manual pull. It would be awesome to do some towing within the airport. Towing from apron to gate then take off, then land taxi to gate then tow to an apron
