Auckland NZAA Airport Gate Occupation, Gate 10 vs 8

There seems to be a small issue at NZAA where if gate 10 is already occupied, I can’t spawn into gate 8, even though in real life widebodies can park next to each other at those gates. I have seen an A380 parked at gate 10 while an A350 was at gate 8 in real life, so I thought fixing this might making flying in and out of NZAA easier in-game.

I reproduced the issue and have to agree that from dimension a class F and a Class E should be able to use those two gates.
How ever I do not see a solution from airport editing team side. Maybe developers can change the safety margin to make it work.
Further testing reveals that even two A220-300 can’t use those two gates at the same time in IF.

Class E at gate 8, no stand boundary infringement

Class F at gate 10, no stand boundary infringement as well

Simultaneously usage of both gates should be possible.


But there is more broken, gate 8 and gate 9 are defined as class E in the editor and can be used both with the Class F A380.

With simultaneous flight start both stands could be occupied, which demonstrates that there is enough space

Hi Tom, thank you for your response. Yeah it looks like there is some issue here which might not be too easy to solve quickly depending on when the next update is releasing, and who would be responsible for fixing this issue. Hopefully something can be worked out soon.
