ATR-72 Family

Who knows, right? Maybe it won’t even take that long

On an Instagram post IF mentioned that they cranked up the pace condensing the modelling work of the aircraft. Who knows, let us hope it will come soon.

In my opinion the aircraft would come sooner or later, as it is the Top voted non added aircraft in the community.

Now that a new aircraft is coming (B738M). Now is the time to comment on this topic, leave your vote and support. Let’s fight to diversify the aircraft and pay attention to turboprop aircraft like the ATR. Not only it, but the King Air, the Seneca, Baron 58 which are piston-powered. Let’s move towards diversification.

King Air is Turbo Prop, also don’t forget the DA-62

We should share it as a mini project, like the C208?

I agree 100%. The flight resume option is great but that doesn’t necessarily mean that everyone wants to do long haul flights.

I don’t have a lot of time to use the sim. When I have a chance to use it, it’s often more fun to do short regional flights or pattern work in my limited time vs continuing a 7 hour flight on autopilot at FL350 from flight resume.

I love the Dash 8 Q400 and hope we can get more regional prop planes in the sim

Long story short it would be nice if the sim had more regional turboprops and piston prop planes such as the ATR-72, BN-2 Islander and King Air.

I agree entirely.

We do have some single turboprops and the
C-130’s but I agree that we are lacking in turboprop airliners (ie: I agree we only have the Dash 8 currently).

Generally speaking, IF has a lot less turboprops (single & multi engine) than jets

Voted…… haven’t a clue why this aircraft hasn’t been done yet. One of the world’s most iconic turboprops.

Had the opportunity today to fly on the fist commercial flight between Eilat and Haifa with
4X-IHA a brand new ATR72-600 💚

We had to hold pattern when arriving to Haifa due to bad weather for like 40 min~🗿
But overall it was a good flight !

Any new airline is a great airline! Just out of curiosity what would be the time it would take to make this journey with other means of transport? I imagine Israel not to be that big so I was wondering if this is really an advantage compared to e.g. trains

It’s an elegant aircraft and there is a big ‘market’ in IF for this. Lots of people who don’t have much time on their hands would enjoy regional routes more with tan aircraft as this one.

From Eilat to Haifa you don’t have A lot of options.
its either public transport, Direct bus Or Bus to be’er sheva and a train from there that takes around 6h~,
a flight to LLBG and a train 3h~,
or a direct flight to LLHA 1h~.
And thats without counting in waiting times for flights etc…
