ATR-72 crash in Iran

Passenger plane ‘carrying 60 people’ crashes into mountain in Iran after disappearing from flight radar.

Update: Unfortunately according to officials:
It has been confirmed that all 60 passengers in this flight are dead. It’s quite surprising, especially when we had another airliner accident only around a week ago. Hopefully all of the victims can rest in peace and the families could be given a strength and assistance to accept this horrible tragedy that have claimed their loved ones.
The remains of the plane have been found on Zagros Mountains, for exact in Mount Dena which is 1,440ft tall, during foggy weather. - Written by @George

Wow, what is happening in 2018?! We’re not even 3 months in and 2 or 3 fatal crashes already. This is certainly not good :( My condolences to the families who lost their loved ones.

Oh man…I was just on an ATR-72 earlier today. How could this have happened? Rest in peace to the passengers and crew onboard.

RIP to the unlucky 66 on board.

RIP.
Idk if this incident was a mistake by the pilots or a problem with the plane itself but this makes it easier to understand how Iran and iranian airlines needs new airplanes to ensure the safety of flying, expansion of routes to the whole world and the need for spare parts for aircraft that can still be used. The nuclear embargo must be modified to ensure the modernization of Iran in aviation and beyond to be sure that this kind of accidents will never happen again.

I THINK that it was a problem from the plane itself. The same plane made an emergency landing earlier this month. It is 25 years old and had suffered lots of technical faults in its lifetime. But that is just my speculation, the investigations are going on.

That’s why I said that they need new aircraft and spare parts to avoid this kind of accidents.

So was there 60 or 66 on board?

60 passengers and 6 crew members. 66 people.
