A humble request to whoever is operating ATC: if a pilot makes a mistake or is slightly off, especially during the approach phase, please consider giving them a timely warning or correction whenever possible. Sometimes it feels like mistakes are being reported rather than communicated to the pilot in the moment.
A simple warning or reminder could help the pilot correct the situation immediately and, more importantly, improve safety. We truly appreciate the work ATC does, and this is only a request for a little more guidance and communication when there is an opportunity to provide it.

Thank you for the feedback and for bringing this up. IFATC controllers are encouraged to provide timely warnings, corrections, or reminders to pilots whenever possible before issuing a violation, especially when the situation can still be safely corrected.
The goal is to give pilots an opportunity to recognize and correct their mistakes rather than immediately moving toward a violation when appropriate. Of course, there may be situations where a violation still needs to be issued depending on the circumstances and severity.
