Bad experience on the expert server. Tower control ATC urged me to takeoff even the previous aircraft (A380) is still on her taking off roll. Tower control asked me to take off or I will be reported. I thought it is a basic common knowledge that an aircraft should not enter the runway and line up when another aircraft is taking off, not to mention that the previous aircraft is an A380. Can’t imagine this happening on expert server.
This is IF’s policy regarding separation between two departures. However if IFATC feels like the 1st aircraft will be airborne before you line up and commence your takeoff roll, they can instruct you to take off. It helps keep the traffic moving when the airport is busy.
:)
We will often use anticipation when clearing aircraft for T/O - particularly at busy airports as it saves a substantial amount of time.
Hello @EKARADON ,
Firstly welcome back to the Community. Nice to see you back after a while. It would be best to send a message to the Controller so that you can understand the story from his Point Of View too. However if you are interested, do send me a DM and we can figure out what happened.
Cheers!

Thank you guys for your explanations. I can understand the consideration on efficiency. But I wonder that if it is okay to neglect safety and urge the pilot to line up and take off, using reporting as a threat, especially when there is a giant A380 ahead?
Thank you. I will review the record after my flight and see if I can understand ATC’s point of view.
If its minimum separation its fine.
we don’t have wake turbulence simulated in Infinite Flight yet.
Yeah I know we do not have turbulences yet. But it sounds not good for me to neglect things since they are not simulated.
If and when we eventually get simulated wake turbulence - then the procedures will likely change - but for now its fine.
