ATC Terrain Map

Hi, I was wondering if there was a feature request currently open to re-add the ATC Terrain map that can be turned on and off through your settings. I tried to look for a topic but they’re all closed.

This feature request is the closest feature request open to what your requesting:

Terrain map in the HUD view

Before the recent IF updates, there used to be a terrain map option in the HUD while flying. This was very useful to negotiate an approach through valleys in mountain terrain to runways. Now that we have the fantastic TBM that is capable of flights through mountains. My request is to please reinstate this option to enable pilots to find approaches to mountain airports without having to use liveflight; which always shows real position of the aircraft with a few seconds of lag.

An alternative you can use right now which many radar controllers like myself use is this website created by @rebal15 who is a member of IFATC too.

I use that all the time, however I can’t tell how close/far the mountains are compared to the game. On the website, it could say it’s further, but then when I spawn it shows its closer causing my Radar Training plan to vary.
