Rome-Fiumicino International Airport [LIRF]
This week we featured an airport chosen by IFATC themselves with a poll! Join us as we explore Rome and it’s scenic routes all week long. As the 47th busiest airport in the world, LIRF still manages to move over 41M passengers serving as HUB for Alitalia and Vueling. The Rome airport was first opened in 1961 and has continued to develop since, now featuring 3 large runways, sprawling terminals, and a massive ramp ideal for busy traffic.
