Now a days ATC schedule is not working properly as per the schedule recently…why this is happening??? developers please get an eye on this

IFATC is not obliged to open airports on the schedule. Controllers are usually deployed where traffic is concentrated.

Are you referring to the featured airports not being staffed?
Problem is it sort of works both ways. We control where the traffic is, and the traffic goes where ATC is. Unfortunately today’s airports are small, fairly unknown airports so people just default to going to the large hubs (EGLL, etc..)
We are also not obligated to open the featured airports. The ATC Schedule does state that “Controllers may staff any airport in the world in addition to featured airports listed below.”.
It’s a bit dull controlling an empty airport for an hour.

That is as sceduled todays atc are KHPN and MYNN…But now only MYNN atc is live…when i flied MYNN is also not live…i planned from a long distance airport to this MYNN airport…when iam about to reach there after a 6 hours fly its gone offline..thats very sad
Yaa..it says in addition to featured airports…i am talking about that featured airports not coming live as per schedule…the featured airport must be live as per schedule…usaully i plan an overnight flight as per the schdules…but when i reached that scheduled airport after a long fly its seems offline…thats very very frustrating for me.
Then what is the need of publishing atc schedule ?? I planned a long flight to this featured airport ..but when iam about to reach no live ATC there…thats very frustrating

It’s just to give an idea of what airports could have live ATC. the vast majority of the time it is followed and pilots go to the main hub listed.
The slight problem is on a day like today where all the featured airports are pretty small, it doesn’t work out that way - see today’s airports below:
The ATC Schedule does in fact say that controllers are free to staff any airport. We don’t want to control an empty airport for an hour - its really boring and a waste of our time. So we go where the traffic goes.
I get its frustrating to plan a flight hoping you’ll get ATC and then there isn’t any when you arrive - but thats part of it. You can’t guarantee you’ll get ATC because ultimately we are volunteers, and can control when and where we want to. Airports won’t have active ATC for the entire 24h period they are featured.

Okk..i get it…thank you for the detailed replay…iam new to the game…so that i thought the featured airport should be on live entire day…my mistake..
