ATC Runway Announcement in europe

Instead of ATC saying Cleared to land/takeoff from Runway 5 (Five), it should say 05 (Zero Five).
Or Zero Six (06), Zero Seven (07), etc… in double digits not singular.

Can you explain a little better?

What the OP is implying is that instead of ATC saying Cleared to land/takeoff from Runway 5 (Five), it should say 05 (Zero Five).
Or Zero Six (06), Zero Seven (07), etc… in double digits not singular.

Although in my opinion it doesn’t really matter since everybody knows what RWY 5 means…

Once again like in your other Feature Request topic, copy and paste this explanation in to your original post if you’d like to :)

I think this is unnecessary as all the pilots of the ‘’ IF ‘’ understand very well how it is.

If you pay attention in writing appear numbers, but when it comes out in voice the atc just speaks, one, two, three, four, five, ETC …

It is not about Realism. The IF ATC follows basic FAA Guidlines. And regarding to this the spelling Runway five is correct and not Runway zero five. The last is an EASA regulation
