ATC Resolutions?

Has anyone ever attempted to contact ATC Appeals or individual atc’s for the purpose of removing unjustified or mistaken violations?
I just submitted an appeal to the individual ATC operator who mistakenly issued me a violation.
Just wondering what to expect? If you’ve had to go through the process, please share your experience. Were you satisfied with the outcome?

(Those who HAVEN’T dealt with ATC to resolve a problem need not reply to this)

Yes. Though I contacted appeals rather than the controller directly. This way it is looked at by a supervisor.

If it’s a mistake or a genuine misunderstanding etc, they will remove it. Mine was removed in a few minutes when it happened to me a few years ago :saluting_face:

Did they require video? Or was a reasonable explanation sufficient? Thx for the info.

They do require the playback in full

I had to show a replay of course so they can see what happened. And I provided detail of what happened & why I made the mistake or where the misunderstanding was.

I’d say definitely keep a replay if you plan to appeal it :saluting_face:

Ok. Kinda makes this thread redundant no? It explains exactly what has to be done, by whom, and when.

Great that you’ve contacted the controller to discuss the situation. While the both of you can explain sides, ultimately you will need to contact appeals as Metier posted above for a resolution.
