ATC practice @ EDDF (training sever)

Hi everyone,

I’m doing a ATC session at EDDF again. From around 1140Z to 1400Z. I hope some of you’ll join me.

Hello, I can help out a bit. I will do pattern work and transition alt, and runway changes.

When someone asks for pushback, give the pushback clearance. @blue_world1

You were on a remote stand with an arrow indicating no pushback but taxi onto the taxiway L.

I have disconnected.

And I encountered some mistakes.

Ground:

When a plane requests to taxi, always use “D&T ‘when available’”. You corrected yourself later.

When issuing the D&T, don’t use ‘Hold position’. This takes away the ‘contact tower when ready’, which means you have to hand off every plane manually. In a busy environment, this will unnecessarily increase your workload.

Tower:

When I requested remaining in the pattern, you used the correct direction; no issues there.

During my first pattern, you gave me a pattern entry, which is not required as you gave the pattern direction with the clearance.

When I was on right Base for runway 25C, you gave me landing clearance for runway 25R :cross_mark::cross_mark:

This is a major mistake which will 100% fail you.

Since I didn’t request a runway change,

Plus, you gave me landing clearance to a plane doing touch and goes. If a plane is remaining in the pattern, always give “for the option.”

The Departing to the North was correct; however, you need to send FCA right after.

When I came around and requested Transition, you gave me 8000 which is incorrect; it should have been 3000.

Take note of this and happy learning.

Thanks for that detailed feedback!

How much traffic did you have when you did your session, because I am in the recruitment process and want to practice. And the transition should always be 1000ft above the highest pattern altitude (you can find it in the ATC manual)

Sometimes EDDF can be busy especially if you post on the community forum and ask people to join.
