Hello.so this just happend. Watch the picture below for more accurate information. I got instructed to line up and wait at 20c at WSSS (singapore changi airport) i was cleared for immediate takeoff and followed up on that. I was told to cancel takeoff and hold position, which i did. Then the atc told me i need to check the home screen for atc instructions? Was this just a simple mistake from atc or did i actually do something wrong? I did every step as atc instructed me to do.
Given there was around 30 seconds between being cleared and having it cancelled, what speed were you at when your takeoff was cancelled?
I didnt even reach 40kts ground speed before i was instructed to cancel my takeoff
You only reached 40kts in those 30 seconds? All due respect but this is not quick enough. Immediate takeoff means go straight to takeoff power and go. After 30 seconds you should’ve been near takeoff speed, if not in excess of 100kts.
That’s likely why your takeoff was cancelled, because you didn’t respond quickly enough.
I’ll have to watch the replay because when he instructed me to immeadiate takeoff i was far from lined up, i was over 30 kts way before i was centered in.
Did you stop after lining up?

There was almost a minute between being given LUAW, and getting takeoff clearance. That’s more than enough time to get onto the runway.

When i look back at the replay i cant see the immediate takeoff instruction?

Yes i know. Im looking at the replay now and i didnt take a rolling departure and i wasnt instructed to immediate takeoff. I’ve had if for 7 + years and this has never happend before

I was on the approach frequency at that time. So I checked my replay and observed your movement. Assuming you started moving when you got the command for takeoff immediately, It looked like you were a bit slower than what the ATC expected. Since I was not tuned in Tower I can’t say for sure what happened but I believe there wasn’t really a window for takeoff (normal or immediate) with the landing plane so close on final in my opinion.
When i look back at the plane final on 20c i was unsure of the instruction by atc. He was way to close, even for a immediate takeoff. Way before i was lined up i was doing about 40 kts i can see now, and again, i hadnt even lined up.
Even if i was doing 60 kts just after i had crossed the hold-short line, the incoming plane was way to close
