So when I first got to the Expert server yesterday, I wanted to do a full flight on it. But, ATC wasn’t online. I don’t know what to do in this situation, so please drop some helpful tips in the comments below. :)

ATC is a community based service, and IFATC members will open when they have time and want to do so. Because of this, there might be times with no active atc

To add to what Elefanths said, if you would like a better chance of having ATC, you should check out the ATC schedule. It’s not guaranteed that ATC will be there, but there is a higher chance.

Just to add on what people have already said, if you do not see ATC on (which, from my experience, does not happen extremely often) just pick your favorite flight or fly into the hub and use Unicom. ATC will be open when they are able, but, in some cases, the towers of the expert server are empty. Cheers!

But one more question; how do I announce pushback?

Unfortunately you are unable to announce pushback on Unicom, only when there is active ATC.
The best bet is to ensure the area around you that your pushing back into is clear and then commence the pushback. Once you’re ready to commence your taxi to the runway, you can announce your taxi intentions on the Unicom frequency.
