I don’t know if this is the intended behavior or not, but it’s something that has caused problems for me a few times… If I pull up a menu for an aircraft I need to send an instruction to, just before another aircraft calls in, the menu for the first aircraft I was intending to talk to is replaced by the menu for the aircraft that just called in. If you don’t recognize the automatic switch, This can result in the sending of an incorrect command!
It’s happened to me a couple times too. Seems like it’s only if you hit it at the exact same time (or at least to the human eye) , more than likely we’re hitting it right when somebody calls in and since they’re being bumped to the top we’re really touching their request.
I also noticed this when you are on Playground or whatever and you are trying to choose an airport frequency. Right when you are about to click it at the very bottom after scrolling for 5 mins, it automatically refreshes and resets back to the top.
That bugs me too!
Unless I’m doing pattern work, I always create a flight plan… It would be nice if the airports on your flight plan were first on the list.
This has happened to me on advanced when it gets busy. I usually just know that it can happen and if someone calls in while on the menu I just check the name to be sure. I think it has to do with the latest being moved to the top of the list when you are clicking. Hard to tell and reproduce.
