What can i do if ATC instructions in expert server resulted into my crash into mountains ? I tried to climb seeing mountains but could not recover the stall due to this.
You may contact to atc supervisor or moderator
Where do i contact them ?
Do it directly any supervisor or moderator
Hey there!
I am so sorry to hear about the service you received. Please contact your controller or contact one of our friendly ATC Moderators @JoshFly8 or @Trey. They will continue this with you in a private discussion.
Again I do apologise for the service and hope you find out why it occurred.
wow, Atc does not have graphs of the areas mountains and the hight of land, this is something IF needs at add and more to make ATC the most realistic
Exactly, I regularly control traffic in Training servers and topographical maps are really important.
yea, we need them and also weather with a weather layout
IFATC do provide this info on their website for controllers to use, i use it all the time and helps me not have any aircraft bust the aircraft to terrain separation requirements. so yes ATC do have graphs and sources to help this not happen. Its also always advised that you research your airport before opening so those who dont do at their own risk.
or just a general awareness of “hey there are mountains over there and I shouldn’t keep this dude on that course for so long”
Basically situational awareness
Yeah, there should be awareness of the region before opening the tower/approach. It happened today at MMMX when I was on about to turn to finals. But then, this fate happened.
yea, but its hard for a person who is going there for the first time, cause I have done this before when I was at a new airport.
we also need airplane ground warning systems because all we have is the call outs and we need obstical warnings and geographic maps for planes and atc with the weather maps if added
oh, ok thanks for letting me know, I will be looking into those but that means atc was not paying attention.
Yes, remember we are all human at the end of the day and so mistakes will always happen. I rarely hear of an IFATC member making this kind of mistake, its once in a blue moon. The typical thing people complain about is how ATc takes long times to respond, not directly flying people into mountains.
Anyways, the OP has been directed to who he needs to contact so im outta here
Have a beautiful day everyone !!
Blue skies
Skyler
Thank you all for your responses. I will be in touch with one of the user mentioned above. Will post update here once solved
A similar type of thing used to exist in IF before global, it was a map layer that color coded how close terrain was based on how far up you were from it. (Not sure if ATC had one, but pilots did)
thank you for the help for us all and have a great day with clear blue sky!
