ATC hackers on TS1?

I was just controlling ground at KSAN on TS1 and everything seemed alright until a user started sending me “Continue Taxi” messages when only ATC is able to send such message. At a certain point I hear the message that ground was closing in a few minutes althought I hadn’t absolutely sent the broadcast message.

Has someone any ideas of what could have happened?

That’s really peculiar, never noticed that before in all my years doing ATC.

He was controlling as ATC

The user was an ATC, telling you to not taxi without clearance. There is an issue with the second picture, and that’s a known bug, sometimes you’re own messages and or a previous controller’s will appear minutes later from when they were announced. Thus why you saw that “continue taxi” message.

Woah, imagine if this happens in the expert server, oh lord.

The “continue taxi” message could be due to reply to your continue taxi command.

Continue taxi has acknowledgement with “continue taxi, callsign”

Note to all: He was controlling ground

I hadn’t sent him anything though

Hmmm, may seem like a glitch.

I believe I have experienced the same before. I was suspicious that there was another controller on that same frequency. I did quit and I realized it was Obs.

He might have gotten a “continue taxi” command before you logged on, and then just pressed “send last message again” (don’t remember what it’s called right now)

@SingaporeAirlines im pretty sure he meant when he was controlling, not him observing.

I don’t think so, I was controlling from quite a few minutes already and he logged in while I was on ATC

I’ve had a strange incident just now on TS1 too.

If you can’t notice it, I was on-guarded by Palm Springs approach when it wasn’t even active 😅.

I was on that frequency first and controlling for 15 mins. Before some planes received an instruction that I didn’t instruct them to do. When I left and respawn, I realize that there was a “Third-Person” on that frequency and It’s listed as “Obs.” on my side. Both of us could send messages to aircrafts tuning to that frequency fyi

As @SingaporeAirlines said when you logged in another user logged in at the exact same time. Causing both of you to be able to send, and receive commands. Without sending one of you to observer. It happens in rare cases where the timing is just right.
