ATC Frequency Glitch: Ground Audio Stuck After Switching Frequencies at KJFK

Hey everyone,

I ran into a strange ATC audio bug while spawning in at KJFK today and wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this (or knows a quick fix!).

So what happened was that I spawned at JFK, checked the ATIS, tuned into Ground, and requested pushback. The controller was super busy clearing other aircraft, but my request seemed stuck in limbo. To try and reset things, I swapped to the ATIS frequency and then the Tower frequency. Strangely, I could still hear Ground communications playing over both channels.

I toggled my Wi-Fi off and back on to force a network refresh, but that just completely killed all ATC audio. I couldn’t hear ATIS, Ground or Tower at all after that.

I would like to clarify that I am not using AIRTEL OR JIO, I am using MTN.

Basically, the Ground audio track refused to clear and just kept bleeding into the other frequencies.

Has anyone else bumped into this frequency ghosting bug recently? Let me know if there’s a trick to unlocking the audio without having to completely dump the flight and restart! Thanks!
