Please don’t vector aircraft on the downwind on the eastern side of the airport over the mountains. There was very little clearance between the instructions given by ATC, and the mountains.

I’m sorry about the problem you’re experiencing in such cases, send “unable” instructions and contact the controller after the flight, otherwise he may make the same mistake again, maybe he didn’t realise it, if you get a violation in such cases, you can object to your violation as the @Magician said.
