Hello everyone departing from Dubai I contacted Dubai departure as requested by tower and then they replied saying radar contact what am I to do ?
Well I did nothing and again departure says say intention and then I had no choice than to request radar vector but I had my flight plan and all set
This happened in training server I want to know if I did it right ?
Given anyone can control on Training Server - you will often get odd instructions (such as radar vectors on departure when there’s minimal traffic), given that many users do not know how to use ATC instructions properly.
Did you request radar vectors or did you just “check in”?
I just checked in and I got the reply saying radar contact
I ignored and then it says ‘say intentions’
And then I had to request radar vector to destination and it gave me a specific altitude to climb to
And then transferred me to my destination Unicom lol
You didn’t do anything incorrect 
It’s training server. Seems like the controller confused you(likely not experienced) Seems like they assumed you then had to flight-follow request XD
You checked-in with departure & they radar contacted you. Unless they need you vectored, nothing more was needed.
