ATC Commitment Question

Hi, I’m thinking about joining IFATC and was wondering if I need to do a hour a day or a hour a week? Thanks!

You are required to commit at least once every 30 days before you are removed from the team. Inactivity for over 60 days requires a practical test redo to be reaccepted.

Keep in mind this is the bare minimum, you should be controlling semi frequently if you want to remain a strong part of the team.

This is something best discussed with you recruiter. It all depends on how quickly the process goes for you, and how you profess with your training.

You can open your tracking thread as much as you want. If you pass the written and progress onto your practically training, you will come in contact with a.l trainer and you two will train when time permits.

An hour a day might be a bit much, but an hour a week is too little.

Ok, thank you. I can’t do it everyday so that was why I was checking

I’ll probably do 2 or 3 hours a week, but sometimes school comes first during the week.

me neither, put life first always :) I control about 2-4 days a week depending on how busy my schedule is. Also note you need to open for at least 30 mins (Class C) or 60 minutes (Class B) at a time.

Ok, thank you. Weekends will be my strong times.

Also, could I get the ghosts in 60 days somewhat excused?

Speak with your recruiter and they could tell you. Not many here are qualified to answer that question.

If you have one, there’s nothing you can do except wait it out I’m afraid. You can’t reverse a ghost too far from the past, especially if you don’t have a valid reason.
