Thanks for sharing! One lucky pilot, he stayed pretty calm this has to be a scary thing. I remember during my training one of the most important things we learned was how to react when you lose your one and only engine.

I’ve instructed out of gai and flown to all those airports he was getting diverted to If he could make it.

W50 would be the worst option. It’s a 25 ft wide runway surround tall trees. Your approach has to be higher than normal and the dive down Once you pass the trees. You have to do it perfectly without picking up too much speed or you will float all the way down the runway.Good thing is that area around it is farm Land So a decent amount of spots to pick from.

Just me, but I would rather have an engine failure than smoke in the cockpit any day.
