ATC attention?

I disagree. There are around 700 IFATC controllers. We don’t even know each other, and Staff members are very busy themselves, so we do not interact that often with them (also because most of them have no connection with IFATC; Tyler is IFATC’s leader, along with Trey and Josh, and they manage most of it; other Staff members have different roles which do not regard IFATC). We at the Appeals inbox, as well as Staff members and Mods, do not take sides. We treat everyone equally, giving chances and making decisions based on what we see. Everything is taken into consideration when making an Appeal (your behaviour, your violation record, what happened during that specific flight, and so on).

Honestly, I have never seen a Staff member being sarcastic or rude when it comes to serious situations such as violation handling or similar. Surely, they are people like us, so jokes or funny moments can happen, but surely not when it comes to Appeals or violations. We always keep professionalism.

I see many people talking about the subscription price and relating it to getting violations. First, if you get a violation and it isn’t fair, you are more than free to contact the Appeals Team, who will decide after a careful review whether to remove or uphold your violation. Then, everyone here pays money to play. However, as for any other game or things you pay outside of this too (so, in real life, as many would say), there are rules to follow. If you do not follow the rules you decided to adhere with, you can get violations. An example which always comes to my mind is the following:
“If you pay 500 bucks to fly on a plane/flight, but you behave in a dangerous way as a passenger, would the crew not make an emergency landing to get you arrested, or removed from the flight, just because you paid a lot to fly?”

I’ll be honest with you, even though nobody is forcing me to say such things (and probably, I shouldn’t even say them): IFATC controllers get reported too sometimes, whether as a mistake or because, very rarely, they did indeed a mistake while flying. An IFATC Moderator would review their replay, just like we at the Appeals Team do with IFC users. And sometimes, it happens that the IFATC Moderators do NOT remove an IFATC controller violation. We are on the same team; we could be friends, as you said, but we stick to rules too, and if we make mistakes, as everyone in life should, we take accountability and learn from them.

Losing faith in the Infinite Flight Staff Team because you received a violation does not seem correct to me. We do our best to help you, trust me. Seeing people accusing us of things we did not do is very disappointing and heartbreaking. We would never do something which leads to people leaving us, ruining their day/mood, or anything. We are here to help, and let you understand what went wrong. The Appeals Team is not there just to remove your violations but to help you.

Hope I was clear. Thank you, everyone

The atc controllers clearly have not been trained well your not even in their air space and they spam you until you respond, you get cleared to taxi people taxi right through you and get a violation then you report it appeal’s they said I have taxed through another plane is more like favoritism then professional to me staff members have been very rude and sarcastic to me all the time.

Those chose to get trained trained fine.

Meaning what? What do you consider their airspace?

This doesn’t make too much sense. They’re just fair.

When you (or any other pilot) is reported, is this discussed on a public forum?

I explained what had to be said in my previous message, the one as a response to you. No favouritism takes place when it comes to violations (to add something: I dislike when any kind of favouritism, in every aspect of life, takes place; I would never be the one practicing it), no Staff member has ever been rude or sarcastic to their own clients, and no, it is not true that ATC controllers have not been trained well.

I’m a Trainer myself. The amount of time and energy we dedicate as volunteers would be crazy for many of you to hear. I’m also part of the Appeals Team, so not only do I train incoming controllers or controllers who want to upgrade their rank, but I also “train” existing ones with the violations policy, reviewing other controllers’ replays and providing feedback.

You are making an example of a “Taxi through other aircraft” violation you received, which I honestly don’t know much about it (we receive dozens of appeals per week). If the controller reported you, and the Appeals Team has decided not to remove your violation, then it means you were at fault. I don’t mean it in a bad way, nor do I want to sound harsh with it, so don’t get me wrong. However, you made a mistake, and you can learn from it.

As I said in my message above, you cannot accuse us like that without knowing what actually happens. In IFATC, a lot happens. You see only a part of it, just like most of the IFATC controllers themselves who do not have roles such as Appeals, Trainer or similar.

Please, I kindly ask you to take some time to review our replies to you below this topic, which include much information and can help you understand our point of view too, which is a more experienced one for what regards the ATC aspect of Infinite Flight. Thanks.

Some people just can’t accept that they might be wrong and victimize themselves because of it. It’s really no use engaging with them, you’re just making them feel more like the victim.

Controllers aren’t robots, remember that haha. They can too make mistakes like everyone else here.

I’m sorry to hear about your prior experience. I can only speak for myself, but as an IFATC Officer, I encourage pilots to contact me via private message if they have any questions, comments, feedback, or concerns.

At the end of the day, we’re all human and make mistakes - both pilots and ATC. If I make a mistake I’m unaware of, or miss something, bringing it to my attention allows me to recognize what happened and how it could have been handled differently.

My inbox is always open.

I guess, send a recording here of the incident if you would like, whatever shown would clarify a lot of people’s opinions regarding the matter. Your choice though.

For the same reason that we don’t come to complain publicly about not so wise moments some pilots have under our control.

As previously mentioned, feel free to DM controllers when you have some doubts or something else. I personally am always happy to discuss points regarding any session. Sometimes pilots and controllers have different perspective of the situations which could lead to confusion on both sides. Shooting a DM would be quite helpful for both parties. I would love to see more DMs from pilots on IFC or on discord. Thanks!

This might be out of topic but I find it annoying when some atc not following recommended procedures when it can be more efficient than how they currently manage. I’m not here to complain their skills or anything but something that could be easily managed for immersive simulation.
