So.. Been wondering, why should they removed the Cessna Citation though? why dont just like.. you know, keep it, that mean we have 2 Private Jets and more Variants to fly
( Just asking )

If I had to guess, the software in Infinite Flight no longer supported the Citation.
Idk where i heard this but i thought people said the aircraft was very outdated and it was no use to update the plane once they added the CL35 in. The CL35 was the replacement for the Citation.
Damn.. if only they like to Rework that aircraft back. That aircraft just feels right, wheter from the model which still looks detailed even in today’s version or even the physics and control itself
Damn.. so that what happened to E195 too if it is
I personally thought the Citation was pretty good, it was the first aircraft to have ground effect. Though I only did some final approaches with it, no full flights.
If you still have a pre-global or early global version of the app (like, 2021?), you can still fly the Citation.
You should send me a feature request for it for it. You could get a lot of votes
As indicated, the Citation X was an IF legacy aircraft, meaning obsolescence and replacement was a matter of time (old models carry hidden “costs”).
For replacement in the business jet category, consider:
"Declining Sales
Only 29 Citation X+ units were delivered between 2013 and 2018, with production slowing to just a handful per year.
Meanwhile, the Challenger 350 became a fractional fleet favorite, with hundreds in operation and strong resale value.
In short, the Citation X was a marvel of engineering—but the market evolved. Buyers wanted more than speed: they wanted comfort, efficiency, and flexibility. And the Challenger 350 delivered just that."
So, presumably, for the resources to upgrade the business jet category in IF, the C350 made more sense.
That’s his guess. It could be 100% true, 20% true, or not at all.
This is from my memory of a developer quote (which I had enough confidence could be retrieved if necessary)
This was separately researched.
I used the word “presumably” as it reflects the dialogue at the time of the CL350’s introduction to the best of my recollection, and I went back and read some of that, after a search, before posting.
Yes haha, I meant Phorza, just wanted to clear up confusion.
Ah…Oops!
What does this even mean? lol
Also it technically is not the only private jet, the Boeing 737 series is commonly used for Private and Corporate aviation as the Big Business Jet (BBJ) Series, another one is CRJ200, also a few A380s and 747s have been converted but yeah. Not only but still I agree little selection
What happened to the Cessna Citation and E170 and E195 and any other aircrafts that have been removed is horrible. It makes no sense to remove aircrafts just leave them be could have easily just kept the Cessna Citation and E170 and E195 it literally wouldn’t have hurt anyone to keep those aircrafts it hurt people to remove them…
Happy cake day!
