Hello!! I’ll be happy to join your ping list!

Thanks! Adding you now.

If you’re available right now I am able to do some practice.

If not that’s totally fine!

TS server just won’t listen

Very good session!! The only thing for me is that you cleared me to land on the last pattern, you should’ve cleared me for the option, but that’s all good!! Hopefully you can get another person to join so we can start some UWC and GWCs.

Oh oops, I didn’t even notice haha.

Also was I supposed to call crosswind for you on that runway change or was downwind okay?

Downwind was a better option since you can select the direction, whereas with a crosswind command there’s only “Turn crosswind” instead of “Turn left/right crosswind”

Good to know. Thanks for coming!

Working with ATCMH too so hopefully I’ll get some sequencing and pattern work done soon!

Open at KSAN for 45 to an hour! Come fly if interested

@Cwaker

Thanks for coming @Captain524!

Hey there! :waving_hand:

Thought I’d share some feedback…

  • Remember that the transition altitude formula is the airport elevation + 2,500ft and rounded UP to the nearest 500ft. In this case, a transition altitude of 3,000ft would be more suitable for KSAN, especially when considering the higher terrain around the airport.
  • Very nicely done with the PE for inbounds, and a traffic direction with clearance! :white_check_mark:
  • Your exit runway command was a tad too late… This command should be issued at around 60-80kts.
  • Good takeoff clearance with direction. :white_check_mark:
  • On my last pattern, you seemed to have forgotten to clear me for the option resulting in me reporting my position.
  • Other than that, no major issues!

You can add me to the ping list btw! :100:

Thanks for the feedback!

I’ll take it all into consideration, sorry for forgetting to clear you lol. As for the exit runway, I was unsure if you were exiting or continuing the pattern, which is why I issued it later when I was sure you were exiting.

Thanks again! Adding you to ping list now.

Hi,

Thank you. First of all, I have to say this, it was perfect!

• There was a very small problem, not a mistake, you told me to enter Left Dowwind, this was the right decision. But it would be better to give you a 35L here because I didn’t request a runway change or a runway. :warning:

• The runway exit instruction was given too late :orange_square:

• A written question!

If I were in the area I marked with yellow, which runway would you give?

I’m waiting for the answer!

Hi Zowtch!

I’m a bit confused on your question.

If you were overhead I would have proceeded with giving you the left downwind for 35L. If you were at the location of the question mark I would
also give you a PE to enter left downwind.

For the runway exit, I believe you said you were inbound for touch and go, therefore I did not see the runway exit. But thanks for the feedback!

Also no runway change due to real life using 35R for landing and 35L for dep, should have stated when opening, sorry for that.

Yes, it’s absolutely true, if I were in the area with a question ball, I would have had a left dowwind instruction again, in reality, I didn’t know that just that track was used, thank you for the information, it was a very good and good session, good luck in your exams!
