Hi! So I have a slight issue where I fly at the recommended cruising altitude for a particular aircraft, but I usually keep arriving way earlier than the same route in real life does. For example, the a380 usually takes around 7 hours and 30 minutes to fly from dxb to lhr, but in my flight it took just 6 hours and 50 minutes at mach 0.85. Does anyone know why, and what I could do to prevent this. Your support is appreciated!

For comparison, a flight earlier today from DXB-LHR took 7h5m.
Flight time can vary considerably depending on the winds, which themselves can vary quite a bit from day to day. They may not have been cruising at precisely M0.85, maybe slightly slower if it was more economical.
Also at London Heathrow, holding patterns are reasonably common depending on the time of day - which can extend the flight time.
Edit: just did a test run with Simbrief, gave me an estimated flight time of 7h7m cruising at M0.83/M0.84.

This. It’s more common to end up in one than getting directly permitted to land.
