We invite you to join us for the re-launch of Destination Saturdays. AFKLM Virtual’s flagship event series, Destination Saturdays (DS) is an around-the-world journey featuring the most challenging approaches, beautiful destinations, and iconic airports on earth. On Saturday, September 11 at 1600z, we resume our trek through the Americas with a short-haul flight from Santiago, Chile to Buenos Aires, Argentina. From there, we will continue our journey northward on the second Saturday of every month, making our way through South America, the Caribbean, Central America, and United States. Experience amazing views and adventurous approaches along the way! DS is open to all AFKLM Airmen of all ranks as well as members of the IFC. The event will also be live-streamed. So, join us in the virtual cockpit or the virtual skies and take part in the fun!

Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport (SCEL) also known as Santiago International Airport and Nuevo Pudahuel Airport, located in Pudahuel, 15 km northwest of downtown Santiago, is Chile’s largest aviation facility and the busiest international airport in the country.

Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport has domestic and international services to destinations in Europe, Oceania, Asia, and the Americas. In 2011 it was the ninth busiest airport in Latin America and the sixth busiest in South America by passenger traffic. Ministro Pistarini International Airport** (Spanish: Aeropuerto Internacional Ministro Pistarini) (IATA: EZE, ICAO: SAEZ), also known as Ezeiza International Airport owing to its location in the Ezeiza Partido in Greater Buenos Aires, is an international airport 22 kilometers (14 mi) south-southwest of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, the capital city of Argentina.



Notice To Airmen:

[ 1 ] This event is open to all IFC members, including non-AIRFRANCE-KLM VA pilots.

[ 2 ] Attendees are asked to spawn in 10minutes before their scheduled departure time.

[ 3 ] Pilots are expected to conduct themselves professionally at all times.

[ 4 ] All guests are asked to use the flight plans provided in the Crew Resources section of this thread in order to ensure proper spacing and maximize realism.

[ 5 ] Prior to spawning in, please be sure to double-check your assigned gate and push back order in the event of a last-minute change.

[ 6 ] Wait until the aircraft ahead of you ahead has reached 2000ft AGL before entering the runway and beginning your take-off roll.

[ 7 ] Maximum taxi speed on the ground is 20kts on straightaways, 12kts on turns.

[ 8 ] Contact AFKLM Event Manager @Flying_dutchman1 if you have any issues or doubts.

[ 9 ] Please take up the Gates 26-28 and stands 29-32 if your gate is already occupied!
