The Argentine Naval Prefecture (also known as the Argentine Coast Guard) operates two of these Piper PA-28s, registered as PA-104 and PA-105. The aircraft in the image provided above is PA-104.

The ANP operates more fixed-winged aircraft, including: the CASA C-212 Aviocar, Beech Super King Air 350 and the Diamond DA42 Twin Star.

Did you know the aviation division of the Naval Prefecture has its own celebrated day?

It is celebrated every 7th of September!

Known as Día de la Aviación de la Prefectura Naval Argentina, or in English: Aviation Day of the Argentine Naval Prefecture

The Prefecture’s main mission is patrolling the country’s coast and internal waters, marine border protection, marine search and rescue, and especially combatting illegal fishing in the exclusive economic zone of Argentina and acts as a federal law enforcement agency and as gendarmerie.
