Hey, i had this doubt since sooo long…are pilot allowed to get tattoo ?
It depends on the airline as well. I know at SWISS you aren’t allowed any visible tattoos, whilst others airlines might be ok with a small one.
Usually, if you want one, it must be On a back or something like that.
Yes, BBUUTT if you get one make sure you can cover it up and it’s not above your collar bone and or past your wrist
I know with Air New Zealand you are allowed to have a tattoo
This would definitely vary depending on company and what not.
In a word - no.
BUT if you really must represent who you are through permanent paint, make sure you are ready to cover it up in the heat of the summer - you will have to wear long sleeve.
Delta is the only one I know outright says no to tats.
Good thing I’m scared on needles
No beard for US airlines. The hair will not secure your O2 mask.
Same policy as military. As long as not visible in uniform
I think it would also depend on what that tattoo is. If it’s a skull with fire coming out the eyes on your face, probably a big no, but if it’s like the date of your wedding or some small non insulting shall we say thing like that on your back whare it can easily be covered up I have a hard time seeing how it could be a problem…
Also, Rohit, if your parents are anything like mine, they would whoop my a**.
From one brown guy to the other lol
My dad is a pilot for Aer Lingus and he is not allowed a tattoo but he can have a beard like a short not a long beard
Honestly it doesn’t matter what the tattoo is per say unless it’s super offensive. You can kiss your career goodbye if that’s the case. Just can’t be visible. Lots of old school guys still flying. Aviation in the US is quiet conservative in nature here. It will change in time though.
Haha…lol…have not asked them
This sounds like a captain joe video question
As long as it is covered by your uniform, most airlines will accept it! Always check first though!!
Happy Flying
