Are delivery flights considered realistic?

Hello everyone,

So Boeing has been doing a wonderful job getting aircraft to buyers. they may be late but they still are getting it done. so I’ve come to ask the community something. If I were to do a delivery flight (on the expert server) Would that be considered realistic? like “ghost flights” almost. Let me hear your thoughts below!

Thanks!
Joshua

Given they are done in real life, I would say they’re realistic yes. I do them from time to time.

I think they would be realistic - they happen in real life.

As long as you MAX 8 delivery flight isn’t from Seattle to Perth nonstop lol.

yeah of course not. I was just wanting to really test the max 8 range completely empty and see how far I could get with it.

Look, planes are flown in real life for any number of reasons. You can fly any plane, with any livery, wherever you want in the simulator. The expert server should be preserved for realistic flying, that is to say the actual flying and operation of the aircraft as it would in real life. Adhering to performance standards, regulations, and safe practices is the primary objective of the expert server.

Whether a particular plane is flown with a particular livery should be of no concern.

About this, does someone knows where I can see the routes (stops and specifications) made by Boeing to deliver their planes (Gol 38m for example from Everett to Confins)

Yes and when the neo comes out we’ll deliver them to there buyers

the closest I got was FR24 and look at the history of that airline/aircraft. Either that or you can search up “BOE” in the website or app and pray that ones either doing testing or being delivered

and as a matter of fact I was thinking about doing a GOL delivery from Boeing Field to Sao Paulo with a fuel stop in Curaco.

They are realistic and no one has the right to dictate how you fly if it doesn’t affect others.

Cool idea but as far as I know every GOL delivery is made to Confins (maintenance hub)

You could fill the aircraft completely with fuel since you’re doing a fairly flight you could cruise at the maximum altitude and since you have no passengers or cargo you won’t stall

Well absolutely!!! You know this is just you delving deep into the sim & finding new & creative ways to keep it fun. I do a lot of this myself(CAP flights monitoring hikers/charters/feeders etc)

Also I was once with a VA who had the Airbus codeshare. This would see lots of delivery & test flights out of their factories etc.

But ultimately as someone else said. It’s your subscription & you use it how ever you wish

Great idea :+1:t2:
