During the month of April, the 1st Fighter Group of EAF executed a robust series of training sorties, refining Air to ground at Kleine Brogel, Belgium. Additionally they also formed three official demo teams: the American FA-18, the Belgian F-16, and the Swiss FA-18.
The month of May also took GAF assets from both NAAF and EAF to Real Thaw in Portugal, where they carried out low-level flights, air-to-air combat, air-to-ground missions, and our first integrated AWACS mission, ensuring flawless coordination between assets.
Meanwhile, the C130 Hercules Force participated in Exercise Tartan Spirit, practicing beach landings in Denmark and executing low-level flights and troop/pallet drops in Scotland within tricky parameters.
Finally, above LSMP in Switzerland, the Swiss Flst18 squadron hosted 1FG for advanced BFM and ACM to close off the month.
During June, GAF assets will be looking forward to participating in our annual Ex Red Flag
