APPR Issues and Auto Pushback Issues

Hello! This is not an issue that is limited to my device because this would also occur to me on my phone (iPhone 14 Pro). It seems like when Im on final and I want to turn on APPR, the plane does some very erratic movements. Im not sure if this is a bug or not but can I get help with this? Also, it seems like none of the airports that Ive tried Auto Pushback has worked. I tried at MMMX and KMCO and it says that it is not available at those airports. Is it truly not available yet or it this a bug? I would expect for Auto Pushback to work at a major airport like Mexico City.

Device: iPad (9th Gen)
Operating system: iPadOS 18.1.1

It doesn’t work at all 3D airports because it requires the airport to have a proper taxiway network - any 3D airports without it will need updating but my understanding is most are fine.

It depends on where your plane is in relation to the localiser and the glide-slope when you engage it. You need to be below the glide-slope and ideally on an intercept angle for the localiser of *around 30 degrees. Are you able to attach a video (via Youtube or something) of this erratic behaviour happening to get a visual idea.

I don’t have a video, but I can explain it. The plane violently jolts up or down and it also sways left to right sometimes.

That’s known, it’s the way the IF Autopilot behaves. You have to be at a 30 degree angle and level at an altitude before intercepting and you’ll get a smooth turn to final.

Was you using A321?

For erratic movements you referred to when engaging APPR, try testing it again making sure VS is set to zero and the aircraft is stable at level altitude, with the glideslope above you at the moment you engage.

This can make all the difference in preventing sudden pitch up.
