Every time I try using APPR, the plane always goes up, and stalls. Why is this?

Take a look at the link above, you need to be established on the Glideslope (G/S) and Localizer (LOC) to smoothly transition into Autoland (APPR) without any dramatic turns, climbs, or descents. Make sure it is activated below 180 KIAS. ;)
