App crashing when new scenery is loaded

When I fly to a new region that I haven’t visited before my app crashes.
I often fly from EHAM to EGLL so it rarely happens when I’m flying this route.
This is what I have tried:

  1. Clearing scenery cache
  2. Puttings all graphics settings to low
  3. Disabling Anti-Aliasing
  4. Lowering Airplane Count
  5. Reinstalling Infinite Flight

Even after trying all of these steps my app crashes.
Help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

I have literally just experienced a second app crash in 2 days also. But I fly around the globe and never had any issues until the last two days. Most recent was around 5mins ago on my long-haul flight from KLAX to EHAM on KLM 777-300ER. After touchdown, and exiting the runway, the app crashed. It also crashed whilst flying on similar aircraft from KMIA to KLAX yesterday. I’m guessing something within the app has changed that’s causing the crashes because my ipad is new and I only ever use it for IF. It’s the ipad 2020

Random situations is not the same as what the topic was about. The situation there was very clear.

@Guitar - how much storage do you have available on your device?

still 80 GB available. Don’t think that’s the issue… I deleted the app and reinstalled it, I think it works now. So far…

I have 54 GB available on my device.

This is exactly what has been happening to me.

@Guitar what device are you using? Can you share the current settings that you have set on your device?

I can’t see any crashes on our end which is indicating that perhaps your device is low on memory (RAM) and it is being killed by the system.

Aeroplane count: None (I switched it to none because I thought it would stop the crashes but it still doesn’t, although it is better than before)

Can you confirm the device please? :)

iPhone 6 Plus

Thanks! It’s likely due to low RAM as mentioned (this is right on the low end of our minimum device requirements).

I would try a device restart between flights to see if this helps. We’ll try and look into this a bit more from our end

Thank you so much for your help.
That’s probably the case.
