App crashing after downloading 26.1 update

Device:IPad 9th generation
Operating system: ios (26.4.1)

I was on approach of Benito Juarez airport and suddenly the app crashed mid conversation with ATC, this has never happened to me before, the app started crashing randomly after downloading the update (26.1). I also made sure that I was using the latest version of ios (26.4.1). I was wondering if the problem was with my device because I am not sure what I did wrong when installing the update. I was also wondering if I will get a violation or not because I left mid conversation with atc because of the app crashing. Thank you.

What graphics/online count settings do you have it set to. The iPad 9th Gen has only the bare minimum specs required to run Infinite Flight, and so likely can’t handle much above Low/Medium.

Ok lower those all the way down to Low/Medium - experiment with different combinations.

You can’t expect a 5 year old device, with minimum RAM to run on max settings, especially with the new rendering engine.
