Does anyone if the API service is the thing that connects the third party apps to IF?

The “API Service” you see in the system status menu (top left corner) is different to what @A-FitzGerald is referring to.

Essentially, it’s what we use for retrieving additional data when flying online, such as airport weather, flight plans, etc. It’s an internal component of online flying :)

So does this mean that when I get the yellow triangle/exclamation point on API Service when flying, I can just ignore it – even if I’m running a simultaneous second app (IF Passengers etc)? Thanks a lot.
