Does anybody else experience a significant wobble of the aircraft when rejoining their flight with AP+?

I think this is to be expected as the plane is adapting to the current winds - once AP+ has been iterated upon to include it reacting to winds when running (as opposed to atm where the groundspeed stays locked) - this behaviour will hopefully no longer happen.
