AP+ reports unrealistically low fuel burn (4.3t after 13h34m A350-1000 flight)

Device: iPad Pro (Apple)
Operating system: iPadOS 26.5.2

Version: 26.3

Aircraft: Airbus A350-1000

Route: LRBS → YSSY (Qantas 294)

Flight Time: 13h34m

Distance: 7,923 nm

Hello,

I completed 13 hour 34 minutes of 14 and 30 minute flight using AP+. After resuming and ending the flight, debrief reported only 4.3 tonnes of fuel used.

This appears to be unrealistically low for an A350-1000 over a 7,923 nm flight and does not match expected fuel consumption.

I am aware of the existing AP+ fuel issues where users report running out of fuel, but this seems to be the opposite issue, fuel consumption appears to be significantly underreported. As a result the aircraft is now at 65% load with 30 minutes to destination.

I’ve attached the flight debrief screenshot showing the flight duration, distance, and reported fuel used.

So far I have only encountered it once, and I apologize if I am reporting an already reported issue, but I could not find a similar one. And feel free to disregard if it’s a duplicate.

Thank you!

Hello!

It’s an AP+ issue that we’ve seen a few reports of. Not aircraft related.
Basically, zero fuel burn during an AP+. I’m personally working on a few fixes surrounding this, but I can’t give any ETA for a fix. It’s a rather complex process.

Thanks for the clarification! I really appreciate the explanation. I was just trying to report what I observed since I’d only come across reports of the opposite issue (excessive fuel burn), and I thought this might be helpful as another data point. I completely understand that these kinds of bugs can be complex to track down. Thanks again for looking into it, and I appreciate all the work going into fixing AP+.
