AP+ occasionally not saving flight progress

This issue has happened to me in some of my long haul flights since last Saturday. Initially I thought it was because of a server restart, until this issue keep happening sometimes to me until today.

So occasionally after I engaged my AP+, my flight would disappear from others (evidenced as the flight becomes untrackable), and the flight time would not count during that time. The flight would not reappear after I logged back to the application and fly manually.

I noticed that during this problem, I didn’t record any flight time or XP until my plane appeared (check my flight on Finnair 101 and Hainan 460, the former taken in Saturday, and the latter taken in Sunday. However the replays for both flights have been deleted).

Please note that this issue don’t always happen in every engagement of AP+.

As a point of example (from a more recent flight), earlier this morning as Ethiopian 3729, I engaged Autopilot+ at 00:05:49. Between 00:05:49 and 00:14:13 (around 8 minutes), my AP+ didn’t record any flight or a turn that I made above WIPP (PLM VOR).

Another example can be seen during my ongoing flight, when I first engaged AP+ after reaching TOC as German Cargo 539. Between 02:15:49 and 02:17:50, my AP+ also didn’t record any flight until I logged back in.

Hopefully this issue can be solved and looked into. Thanks.

P.S : Somehow I can not send logs in the RTM.

I’ve been looking into this issue from time to time and have tried to sort it out.
But as you’ve noticed, it’s quite random..

But the times you’re mentioning, what are those in? UTC?

Yup in UTC, as mentioned in the replay time

Okay.
I’ve managed to download a few things related to that flight and will be analyzing.
I’ve added logging capabilities for you as well, so next time you see it - go to Settings → “Send log” and ping me.

Hello Seb!

I’d like to notify you that the issue has somehow reappeared again several minutes ago (between 11:12:05 - 11:32:33) to my Dynasty 5161 Heavy flight.

I’ve already sent my log before I reactivated my app again so my plane can appear again to others

This issue still persist ever since my last post, with this one being as an example. If you can see the debrief there are parts of my flight plan that is blanked out.

These blanked out parts happened after I engaged the AP+ and the flight become untrackable to others. Only after I checked in again and tried to reengage the AP+ does the flight reappear on trackers.

I have sent the log again and hopefully it can help to identify the root cause of the issue. Thanks

I’m experiencing the same problem, some parts of my flight plan are also blank in debrief

Again lost flight time during AP+…
KMIA-TFFR is around 3h, my simbrief OFP said 2h55 of air time.
I started AP+ 30 minutes after take off and left AP+ 1 hour before landing… and nothing logged during that time…
Is this really that hard to fix seriously?

I think I ́ve been robbed of about 40hours in total with this bug now in the last 6 months…

Yes. One reason being the low amount of people who’s actually experiencing it.
A lot harder to track down what the issue is.

I am facing the same issue. I just left my flight (DHL 710IN) on AP plus. But now I cant find it on any tracker.

That’s because it’s in a “Ready to land” state. You’re 30 minutes out.
