Device iPhone 17 Pro:
Operating system: iOS 26.5.2
The AP+ icon just kept on loading and when I tried to exit the flight, it said please wait AP+ saving (or smth to the effect of that)
I waited for 30+min for it to save after all the conditions were met but still it did not.
(similar to the issue in Auto pilot+ not working)
I’ve had this problem before, but it always went back to normal after a while.
Check your flight plan and see if you have a same waypoint entered twice. If so, then delete one of them. That method has worked for me in the past

Looks like you had a broken AP+ flight (we’re getting a few more of these right now due to a database issue).
I’ve corrected it now so it should be OK!

I’m also having this problem. It will keep loadingfor 30+ minutes on multiple routes and aircraft.
