I noticed from trackers in both InFlight and Infinite View that the skies are unusually less crowded today. I noticed that only flights that are not in AP+ (aka active) are the ones that are trackable.
My flight is one of the untrackables, as I could not view my flight unless I log in to the simulator. I also checked my surroundings from the simulator and I noticed that planes around my area are unusually… empty. Furthermore, I already flew from 11 hours ago, and yet my simulator only records 2 hours of flight time. Am I the only one who experience this issue?
Indeed. At first I thought it only affected third party trackers, but a simple check of my surrounding (in the Middle East region) also proves the sightings in the third party trackers (which is unusually quiet).
After some testing, I realized that the problem is because flights with AP+ are not trackable for some reason.
This is my flight, and my flight became untrackable sometime before I left North America, and only “reappeared” once I logged back near the waters of Greece. However, once I left my flight, my flight would disappear again. I can only take this screenshot as I’m currently active again in the simulator.
I noticed mine was like that too earlier this morning on a 9-hour flight. Now I’m on another 10-hour flight and it’s also not tracking when it’s on AP+. And it really doesn’t log the hours, because leaving the flight open on the phone for 10 hours is complicated.
currently also experiencing it, says my delta flight from katl-rjaa is parked at 35k feet, was supposed to be landing right now but ap+ still has me 2 hours out of Narita.
We will have a look at this during the day.
We noticed some minor issues lurking around the corner last night and had a planned correction for it this morning. But, some things unfortunately gave in before that.
(No, this won’t “delay” the open beta because we have separate tasks in within the company. Just saying this before anyone starts asking)
