After the recent update, moving newly added waypoints up and down in the flight plan feels much harder and less smooth than before. Reordering waypoints now takes more time, especially when editing longer routes, and it can be frustrating when trying to make quick changes. It would be great if waypoint movement could be made easier and more responsive again for a smoother flight planning experience. Like the up and down buttons in previous update helped a lot. In this update moving it takes some time as fpl is long and moving it up takes time, If it still works the same as before and there’s an easier method I may have missed, please let me know.
I absolutely agree. The new way of editing FPLs is annoying and slow compared to the previous one which, in my opinion, didn’t have any reason to be removed. I still haven’t understood how the new method works so, in order to add a SID in my flight plan, I have to first add my flight plan I copied from Simbrief to see where the first waypoint is so as to pick a departure procedure that ends at that fix/VOR. Lastly it also makes it difficult, at least for me, for adding transatlantic tracks. I have to add the flight plan then delete its second part so that it ends at the start of the track I chose, and then add again the flight plan but this time cut the first part until the end of the track.
I know moving up and down is also Soo difficult in this update previously u had to hold the up button to take it up and hold down buttons to take it down but now holding doesn’t work.
If you move the waypoint/procedure to the very top of the list, the list moves faster. Not sure if you were aware of that, so I thought I would mention it.
The devs are always open to feedback on how they can improve the UI elements of the sim.
Yeah, but still slower than the previous update I think they should bring back the fpl buttons.
Simbrief includes the SID (if you’ve planned with one) when you import it so ?
Oh, I just type the departure and arrival airports along with the aircraft type I’m flying and it shows me a route which doesn’t include any procedure and sometimes transatlantic track, and then I just copy it. I might be doing it wrong, I don’t know
Hey hey, they made a. Idea on how to adjust the waypoints..just press and hold a waypoint in the flight plan and a line will appear and you drag the waypoints where you want…good luck
Yea but the new method is very slow if you’re trying to move a waypoint up or down your flight plan especially on longer flight plans. I think it would be great if we could choose between the old up/down buttons and the new cursor.
Ok understood
That’s my point, fully agreed ![]()
agree. mayb they should add that up down arrow in addition to this new drag feature
Yep
it made it so difficult without it.
That’s a good idea ngl
